“When Yasmin Williams plays guitar, she conjures new possibilities and stories from the instrument.” – Rolling Stone // On tour in support of her new album, Yasmin is fresh off an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and NPR Tiny Desk. Her unorthodox guitar style uses alternate tunings, percussive hits, and lap tapping to great effect. Her “radiant sound and adventitious origins have made her a key figure in a diverse dawn for the solo guitar” (The New York Times). Her music has been described as rich, harmonious, and “in a lot of ways, the joy and possibility she brings to the guitar reminds me more of Eddie Van Halen than any of the other fingerstyle guitarists to whom she’s compared.” (NPR Music)
February 3 – 9
New Orleans jazz, traditional Caribbean tunes, funk, soul, and street beat music. The Soggy Po’ Boys were a big hit at our annual Caffe Lena @ SPAC festival in 2023. With guitar, reeds, brass and drums, the Po’ Boys get the walls shakin’! Seven A-list players will create an unforgettable winter’s night at Lena’s. Don’t miss their long-awaited return this Saturday night!
Jan 28 – Feb 2
These days you’ll see more bands on Lena’s stage than once was the case. But this week is all about the solo singer-songwriter. From the new voices of Wednesday’s Lena Go Round, to the proven (sold out) favorites on Friday and Saturday, the audience will be leaning in close to hear good lyrics, beautiful melodies and the intimacy of acoustic guitar. Be sure to scroll down for the list of newly announced shows. There are a lot of them this week!

Eight Remarkable Artists That Played at Caffè Lena Before They Hit It Big
Pretty much every Saratogian knows that Bob Dylan performed at Caffè Lena back in the early ’60s, just as he was beginning to kick off his legendary folk career. But Bob wasn’t the only one.
According to Sarah Craig, Executive Director of Caffè Lena, most of the now famous musicians who have performed at the club weren’t famous when they first started performing there. “This was an important building block in their career and in building their skills, and that’s what Caffè Lena is really for,” she explains. “The shows are always great regardless of whether that person becomes a household name later down the line. That’s just a matter of lightning striking or not.”
